MONDAY MUSIC

Today I want to post one more romantic song for my Music Monday! I have seen this movie when I was in studying in high school because when it was released I was 4 years old...... hehehe. As you know I love Hindi Oldies, I still search you tube for old Hindi songs and try to post it here. So I found this one today. The Film is Neel Kamal. ( Blue Lotus) It is story of a girl's re-birth and her lover of previous birth. Two heros and a heroine. Heros are Late. Rajkumar, who is singing here & Manojkumar and Actress is Waheeda Rahman. Now I find this video little funny.... But I LOVE SONG....Lyrics and music of it...

Sleepwalker ( i.e. walking in the sleep LOL) Sita (Waheeda Rehman) is rescued by Ram (Manoj Kumar) while walking on a railway track. Shortly thereafter Guruji (David) and Mr. Raichand, Sita's father (Balraj Sahni), approach Ram's mom (Lalita Pawar) with a marriage proposal. Finding the proposal suitable both Ram and his mom agree, and as a result Ram and Sita are married. After the marriage, Sita displays very strange behaviour, like walking away during the night for long durations. This increases the suspicions of everyone in Ram's household. Ram subsequently finds out that there is a lot more to Sita's disappearance than sleepwalking, as Sita seems attracted to someone else from a previous birth. You can read more details here on the same site - NEEL KAMAL

“RAKSHA BANDHAN”

Today I would like to tell you about a festival for BROTHER and SISTER which will be celebrated here on 28th August. You have heard about Mothers Day or Fathers Day, similarly we have BROTHER & SISTERS DAY since long long ago. I think even before Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, & it is called “RAKSHA BANDHAN”! Here Raksha means protection and Bandhan means Bond…so you can say it is a bond of protection OR a promise of protection from brother to sister.

You can read more about this festival HERE or below at wikipedia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rakhi

http://www.raksha-bandhan.com/

I still remember, while in college, most of the boys used to take compulsory holiday for this day! LOL Because who so ever girl they had tried to flirt with or teased (eve-teasing) a lot, there were more chances that same girl will tie the thread (rakhi) on their wrists and will make them brothers…and then they will have to stop flirting with her or teasing her… hahaha. I have seen many ONE-SIDED budding love stories had ended with this festival during our college days… LOL So naughty youngsters or flirt youngsters avoid going to college on this day!

Anyways here are online rakhi samples available for all Indians girls to buy & send all over the world to their brothers…and even brothers have choice to buy a nice gift for their sisters here online….

Rakhi with sweets : http://rakhi.indiangiftsportal.com/rakhi-with-sweets.html

Designer Rakhi : http://www.indiangiftsportal.com/india-shopping/occasions/raksha-bandhan/designer-rakhi/

Pearl Rakhi : http://www.indiangiftsportal.com/india-shopping/occasions/raksha-bandhan/pearl-rakhi/

And some more Rakhi as well as gifts for sisters from brothers at rediff.

This is my card for this festival…. :p

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY

“Getting bored” is also a good thing…! I was feeling really bad that now a days, 360 has become a very dull place for ME at least. I have talked about this many times before that if I write blogs, I love to get response. If I don’t get it I feel boredom :P Seriously, I do try to visit my friends and comment on their pages and leave quick comments…send cards too… but I have only Emy, Efi and Nemo (on weekends specially ) quite regular at my page and few more like Joy, Jewel and Guillou07 are not so regular friends. Brian & Lestat are like meteors, they can be seen suddenly on QC & again vanishing for long long time…. They may read blogs but they have stopped commenting on blogs I think that’s why they mostly leave comments on QC….. ! :p BUT, I MUST THANK ALL OF THEM, as I am still here because of them... So thank you all of you :)

Anyways these things are not at all encouraging for me and I am losing interest here. I also don’t feel like visiting others pages now. In short, “Yahoo 360” has become very dull place for me. I was more upset because our Internet service provider had some technical faults at their end and I was not able to log in at yahoo as well as I lost many fast games of chess too! Because as you know I play 5 minutes games mostly and I used to get disconnected from game server and till the time I restart it, I used to lose the game! All things were very very irritating…. But today evening their engineer came and repaired it and I am happy that I can play chess now! Yoohooo….!! Yeah... the show must go on..... :p :))

So when I got my Internet speed back, I watched my favorite parrot again ( I have stopped counting…how many times I have watched “Einstein” Parrot, whom I have watched before on TV ( Animal Planet) also! I think you too must have seen this SMART PARROT !! If not, don’t miss this opportunity!!!

Talking Parrot - Amazing videos are here

After parrot, see who has impressed me a lot????? CHECK OUT here…..

Amazing SIX-Year-Old Singer - Funny video clips are a click away

I wish, I would have got such opportunity at so young age, now I would not have to sing in the bathroom and kitchen at least….. :p Hehehehe No probs, even everybody can’t become a bathroom singer too!!!

When I had seen "NORA Cat " first time, I was feeling that shame on you, even cat has learned to play piano and you are still thinking to learn it…Lazy “Love” :p ….hahahaha

Hey guys, I have already missed my chess so much due to Internet problem, now my Internet is working great again, I have to stop here and run to play… So see you soon hopefully….. Bye.

HAVE GREAT DAYS AHEAD….!!!

Love Your Life: 5 Simple Steps
Written by RealAge, Inc., peer-reviewed by Dr. Axel Goetz, April 2004

What really makes you happy? As new tasks and responsibilities come into your life each year, it can be easy to lose track. Whether it's the little things in life that make you smile, or the joy of working toward a life goal, focusing on your happiness each day not only will protect your emotional well-being, but also your physical health.

Follow these simple steps to rediscover your passion for life and be healthier in the process.

1. Value your daily diversions

When you're adding items to your to-do list, don't forget the good stuff. Do you look forward to reading in bed, going out to breakfast, taking long walks, listening to music, or just sitting quietly outside? Make sure some of your favorite diversions happen every day.

Not enough time to indulge? Consider crossing out the pesky items on your list that you keep saying you're going to do, but haven't gotten to in over a year, like alphabetizing your bills or organizing your sock drawer. Or, cross out a bigger item that is consuming much of your time but isn't enhancing your life.

2. Build your strength and independence
We all have low-energy days, but if you can resist the urge to skip your daily workout, you'll be rewarded both now and later. Try telling yourself that you need to do only 10 minutes of exercise. Once you're up and moving, it's likely that you'll want to finish your workout. Even if you can't push past the 10-minute mark on bad days, you can feel good about doing at least a little something. Sticking with an exercise plan will help you feel good about yourself, and also strengthen your immune system and enhance your body's production of mood-boosting hormones. Keep a notebook with short summaries of how you feel after really good workouts. Refer to these notes when you need inspiration.

3. Squash your stressors
Don't let stress sap you of joy. Diffuse daily hassles by practicing stress-reduction strategies. Try taking little deep-breathing breaks throughout the day, inhaling through your nose and then exhaling slowly through your mouth. Repeating this action 3 or 4 times allows more oxygen to get into your blood stream, resulting in a greater feeling of calm.

In addition to controlled breathing techniques, progressive muscle relaxation, yoga, and massage all have been documented as effective means of reducing tension, stress, depression, and anxiety. Taking a brisk 10-minute walk will do far more to dissipate your stress and lift your spirits than eating the sugary and salty snacks you might crave when you're feeling frantic.

4. Celebrate and share your skills
Thumb through the local newspaper or phone book and identify a school, club, or organization with whom you'd like to volunteer or participate. Not only will sharing your unique talents and expertise benefit others, but also research shows that volunteering can improve your well-being. Feeling engaged and involved in your local community is good for your emotional health. It's also an opportunity to learn some new skills, which can help keep your mind sharp.

5. Appreciate the people around you
Unwind and share a few laughs with your family or friends at least once or twice each month. The openness and trust you share with these important people can help give you the perspective you need to cope with everyday challenges. These regular connections also will have a positive impact on your health, especially when you share a good laugh. Laughing lowers blood pressure and releases endorphins that can ease pain. Also, don't neglect relationships at work. Colleagues and co-workers can provide valuable support and keep your blood pressure under control during stressful situations.

Feeling satisfied and fulfilled with your life is an essential part of your emotional and physical well-being. As you grow to appreciate your time, your independence, your self-assurance, your skills, and your relationships, you will be amazed at just how good you feel, both in body and spirit.

NOTE : I have changed my name henceforth....Sorry for inconvenience!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY
TO ALL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF INDIA !!!
(Our National Anthem written by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore)

TRANSLATION OF OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM
" JANA GANA MANA..."
O! Dispenser of India's destiny, thou art the ruler of the minds of all people.
Thy name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat, the Maratha country,
in the Dravida country, Utkala (Orissa) and Bengal;
It echoes in the hills of the Vindhyas and Himalayas,
it mingles in the rhapsodies of the pure waters of Jamuna and the Ganges.
They chant only thy name.
They sing only the glory of thy victory.
They seek only thy auspicious blessings.
The salvation of all people waits in thy hands,
O dispenser of India's destiny!
Victory, Victory, Victory, Victory to thee.

Translation of our Vande Mataram, the National Song of India by Shree Aurobindo

Mother, I bow to thee!
Rich with thy hurrying streams,
bright with orchard gleams,
Cool with thy winds of delight,
Dark fields waving Mother of might,
Mother free.
Glory of moonlight dreams,
Over thy branches and lordly streams,
Clad in thy blossoming trees,
Mother, giver of ease
Laughing low and sweet!
Mother I kiss thy feet,
Speaker sweet and low!
Mother, to thee I bow.

Who hath said thou art weak in thy lands
When the sword flesh out in the seventy million hands
And seventy million voices roar
Thy dreadful name from shore to shore?
With many strengths who art mighty and stored,
To thee I call Mother and Lord!
Though who savest, arise and save!
To her I cry who ever her foeman drove
Back from plain and Sea
And shook herself free.

Thou art wisdom, thou art law,
Thou art heart, our soul, our breath
Though art love divine, the awe
In our hearts that conquers death.
Thine the strength that nervs the arm,
Thine the beauty, thine the charm.
Every image made divine
In our temples is but thine.

Thou art Durga, Lady and Queen,
With her hands that strike and her
swords of sheen,
Thou art Lakshmi lotus-throned,
And the Muse a hundred-toned,
Pure and perfect without peer,
Mother lend thine ear,
Rich with thy hurrying streams,
Bright with thy orchard gleems,
Dark of hue O candid-fair
In thy soul, with jewelled hair
And thy glorious smile divine,
Lovilest of all earthly lands,
Showering wealth from well-stored hands!
Mother, mother mine!
Mother sweet, I bow to thee,
Mother great and free!

FEW MORE QUESTIONS :

Though Brian had asked so many little things and few serious things too…which I will reply here in short but I promise I will write in detail about that later too!

He had asked about languages & some meanings of the words…

MY ANSWER: In my country, we have different languages for different states but our NATIONAL LANGUAGE is Hindi

Few other languages are ( Statewise)

Maharashtra (where I live) – local language is Marathi

Andra Pradesh – Telgu

Tamilnadu – Tamil

Kerala – Malyalam

Orissa – Oriya

West Bengal – Bengali

Punjab – Punjabi

Gujarat - Gujarati

Karnataka – Kannada

Assam – Assamese etc etc….

So we have different language, dress code and different food habits in almost every state!

Brain had asked “What is eve-teasing?”

MY ANSWER : It is nothing related to Adam & Eve! :p ( kidding) Eve-teasing is teasing or flirting of boys or taunting of boys with the girls ( or women) by standing roadside areas…! Most of the time college boys do that and sometimes local goons to whom we call roadside Romeos ! Hehehe. These remarks can be romantic, slang or even derogatory too, which can make a girl feel harassed or tortured by those boys. Due to such harassments sometimes girls take drastic steps like suicide too! I remember we had some serious issues happened regarding this in the south India long back. So you can say eve teasing is a BAD thing and even though sometimes boys start it in fun…! I will write more about this too but later…

Finally, NEMO had asked simple but very core questions as a friend…he said, I would like your opinion about the following questions :-

What in India’s past do YOU consider most important?

MY ANSWER : Partition of India was most important but worst thing had happened in the past. But good thing is I am happy that I born in an Independent India! I will write MORE about this later

What in India’s present do YOU consider most important ?

MY ANSWER : There are many things to say as important and I can’t say about single thing but as you have asked, I think it should be “INDIA IS A WORLD’S BIGGEST MULTIRELIGION, MULTICULTURE, MULTI-LANGUAL DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY!” ( I love these colors of India and about which I am very proud of…)

What in India’s future YOU must like to see?

MY ANSWER : So many things like Healthy and Educated generations who will believe in humanity above all and who will keep peace & integrity in my country intact and bring laurels to my country by achieving success on every front like science & technology in EVERY field, sports, culture and entertainment field, will have best infrastructure and communication facilities, education, food and shelter for all, self imposed population control, more employment for all and better relations with rest of the world to keep peace and harmony in the world…!

SO BUDDIES HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!! KEEP SMILING

FICTION FRIDAY
"Kaleidoscope"

CONTINUE FROM LAST -----

As we reached at Dolly’s house, her daughter came running and hugged me! She is such a cutie-pie… we talk a lot, play with each other and you can say she is my little angel friend. We all had lunch together & chatted till evening about all our golden old days! LOL. Dolly & I was studying together, she was good at studies & she used to play games too. She was famous for her tomboy nature. In her group of friends we have three-four girls & equal numbers of boys too. If you will see Dolly sitting with boys you will think she is one of them, because like other boys she too used to tease the girls passing by & commenting on them with her boyfriends as she used to have fun in that too! Similarly when she used to be with girls, she used to tease boys & making them fool with her activities… Like when she comes to know that a boy is a secret admirer of her & try to talk with her & every time try different methods to impress her, she planned playing prank with him one day. She told one of her boy friend to tell that boy that she likes his yellow shirt very much and after that oh my god, that boy started wearing the same shirt many times in a week by washing in the night! hahaha There was an another boy, who used to sing in the variety entertainment program in our college’s annual gathering. We were watching the rehearsal that day as some of Dolly’s friends were in some skit. There was a boy who was trying to be smart with her friends. Dolly said just wait and watch…. She went there & with fluttering her eyes said wow, what a voice you have got! Can’t you sing one more time please…? Then no need to say that the boy kept singing the same song for more than half a dozen time, till he got tired and we were controlling our laugh...hahaha.

In our group Dolly had rich friends as well as poor friends like me too. But she never made us feel uncomfortable while celebrating our birthdays. We used to collect money for months to celebrate very simple birthday with all friends by having simple & not so expensive snacks with tea! Similarly after finishing every exam, we all used to go for a movie after writing our last paper and this became a kind of custom for us!! We have one more friend who was not so fat but little healthy than us. So Dolly’s boyfriends used to tease her a lot… whenever she used to try to sit on bench or chair etc.. they used to say …stop stop… don’t sit there it will break! After that she too had phobia that if she will sit on wooden things it will break due to her weight!! LOL Then Dolly scolded her friends & slowly that girl became normal.

“Oh Bobby, there are so many sweet & sour memories of our college days…. It will take days to tell you all those things…” I said.

“Oh my God” I have to go now” said Bobby.

I too wanted to prepare myself for tomorrow’s school schedule. Though they had told me to teach primary classes but I want to go fully prepared first day. So Bobby went to her house, Dolly took Aasma & went to her bedroom. I started arranging my things as per space in the room & my requirements.

Now what to say?
THE SHOW MUST GO ON....

Today I am feeling better. But still I am sad and worried and scared... Actually one of my classmate from college days is died. He has left a wife and twin daughters behind. It was very very shocking for me as he was younger than me. But he had mouth cancer! Last year when I was in Mumbai, he & his wife had come there in hospital for surgery and he had called me, talked with me a lot. He had no bad habits at all like drinking, smoking etc... One day he had a small mouth ulcer. ( I had this many times...it's not very dangerous thing) He thought it will be fine after some days...but it was not healing and he had trouble while having food, so he went to doctor and they did biopsy and sent him to Mumbai for further treatment in Tata Memorial Hospital ( famous for cancer treatments.) There they did surgery and it followed by chemo therapy.

When last time he had visited Mumbai for chemo therapy, he again called me and I was in Pune at that time but we talked on phone for an hour or so...about our college days, and the crazy things we did during those days etc... How he and other friends had visited to my house and had lunch together and we were playing Carrom ( carrom needs minimum 2 players and can play maximum 4 players so we were 4 playing carrom... ) so this friend and another friend were sitting on sofa next to my Dad & started playing chess...Actually they were learning chess at that time. So in one move, they brought both the kings near...just side by side...and my Dad saw that and told them...hey what are you doing? Take both the kings back... They can't sit together and chitchat like this...! We all had laughed so much. There are many memories of my college days.... Last time Dad and I talked about this incident just two days before and laughed about that chess incident. I told Dad he is fine now and I will talk to him on his birthday... and suddenly another friend (who was playing chess with him that day) called me and told me Manoj is no more... !!! I couldn't believe...I was planning to surprise him by calling him on 11th August in the night at 12. Because on 12th August he would have his birthday...

I was thinking about his wife. She was not working and I think they must have used all their savings for his treatment. Now what about his twin daughters? They must be one or two years younger than my son. How will she manage? I was crying after hearing this all and one of my chessfriend, who has brain tumor and had surgery last year, suddenly told me, he had got bad scan report and had some blood cells 84% in the brain and he was so scared... etc etc... This boy is hardly 29 years old, divorcee and has a son, who is one year older than my son. This boy is not so educated and did not understand many things about his health problems. So I think doctors also don't clear many things about his health to him. What he was telling me was very simple thing that his cancer cells are multiplying again... Scan report showed them 84% growth. That is dangerous! He was telling me that he may go for radio therapy again... But I know there is no other treatment besides this... but this is very scaring that how much successful it will be? I mean I am very very scared and worried about this... I am feeling very negative and I can't even tell him that ! I don't even want to tell him because I know his nature and that's why I want him to enjoy the life without even thinking about future. But sometimes I feel, he should do all his paper work ( like "will" etc. as his son is hardly 12 years old and he has own house, some bank balance and car & other things, which may be taken by his relatives and then what will happen to his son? This little boy never got his mother's love as she had left him at very very young age like one or two years old and my chessfriend himself is his mother and father both!) Why, why do such tragedies happen? That too at so young age?

I am still feeling sad & worried about my college friends family and I am very very scared and sad and worried about my chess friend who is quite ignorant about his status of health. I feel very helpless...what can I do? I can only pray....which I am doing. You know what? This is the main reason, I was hiding myself.... I was not showing my pictures to you all... because I am very sentimental person & get attached with everybody very easily and get disturbed by their lives too... I can't keep myself aloof from these things. I cry and get shocked. I forget that I too have a family and I have no answers when my son asks me why am I so sad and not singing and laughing and being naughty like other days? Anyways, please pray for my friends family and a friend to get cured. I am still hoping that miracles DO happen???!!!

BYE BUDDIES, and take care. :)
